uTorrent for Mac is Coming: An Early Review

Now this is something that I am really looking forward to. I had the chance to play around with utorrent on a windows and while using azureus (the best mac bittorrent app, unfortunately). I did a little speed test to see if there would be a download difference, I downloaded the exact same torrents on each client. Utorrent blew away azureus big time, utorrent finished downloading while azureus still had more than 50% to download. Needless to say this will be a very welcomed app to our wonderful macs.

When BitTorrent Inc bought uTorrent, the most popular Windows BitTorrent client, they announced that they would begin porting it to both the Mac and Linux. They have. Here’s a preview of the “soon to be released” Mac version of uTorrent.

Nice! Now it needs to come to Linux since my Linux box is my bittorrent box.

Yes, it would be awesome for you to use if they ever decide to release a linux version. I couldn't believe the difference in speed.
