Last night I saw that iFuntastic v. 3 was released and in this version it finally supports macs with the Power PC chip. (some of us haven't been fortunate enough to upgrade to intel just yet.) Although I had already added the installer app via terminal I thought it was worth it for me to get a chance to check out the iFuntastic application as I had heard and read that it was a pretty cool app to use to customize your iPhone.
I was able to make the background whatever image I wanted. I could obviously and most important make my own ringtones. (Although I am seeing rumors that Apple is going to announce custom ringtones on Sept. 5th.) Honestly this is the only thing that I have really missed about my sony ericsson w600i was the ability to add my own ringtones. I like the fact the the app lets me move the iphone icons around in any order that I want and remove one that I don't even want on there. I am very impressed with the entire package and has been awesome to be able to customize my iphone the way I want it.
Now if Apple does announce ringtone support here shortly it will be awesome, but I am also ready for them to announce a SDK for native apps on the iPhone. Although there are some good web apps out there personally I like having the apps run natively on the phone and not via a web interface as I am sure everyone else would agree. After seeing all that iFuntastic can do and other "hacks", Apple has to realize that they really can't hold out much longer on opening the thing up to 3rd Party developers. I really wish that this would happen soon because the reality is that while these "hacks" work they may not be quite as stable as something that Apple would release. (At least I hope.)

A Future Motorcycle |
As some of you know I recently took a motorcycle safety foundations course in order to get the endorsement added on my driver's license. Within the past year my wife has welcomed the idea of me riding a motorcycle which I have wanted to do for sometime now. Her only stipulation was that it had to be something other than a crotch rocket.
1. She wants to be able to ride and obviously passengers on crotch rockets don't have that comfortable a seat.
2. She feels like they are more for single guys hence more solo riding.
Whether you agree with her reasoning that doesn't matter all that I care is that she is fine with me getting a motorcycle when we can afford it. I am really excited about the chance to get a motorcycle one day. I recently got to do quite a bit of riding down in MS with my dad and brother, it was a lot of fun. It gave me a chance to get to go out and ride in the real world rather than the controlled conditions of the safety course. I must say that it was a blast. There is just something about getting to ride in the open air, I guess some would call it a sense of freedom. I fell in love with it the very first time I got a chance to ride my dad's bike around the neighborhood.Needless to say I am very excited about getting my first motorcycle, although it may be sometime around next summer. As anyone who wants something new, I have done tons of research to find the bike that I would want and have settled on a Star (Yamaha) Stratoliner.
The reason have love this particular bike is because of it's style, engine size (1800cc), and it's features. It comes with a detachable windshield, detachable side bags and detachable sissy bar, all with quick release clips. I like having that option of taking off the windshield for cruising around town, plus it looks awesome. I am very excited about this motorcycle and hope to have one by next summer.

Why Drugs are Bad |
Here is a video that I saw on digg.com. It is a very interesting video to watch as it talks about doctors and parents over drugging children who supposively have ADD. I have always been for the fewer drugs the better and this video just supports my thoughts. Some of the video can make you a little upset with some of the points that are brought up. It is good to see videos like this, it will only help make more and more people aware of the over drugging of not only our children, but also makes you think about the amount of drugs that adults take too.
I post the link due to the length of the video and not wanting to have it load on my blog page.

Random Stuff |
Right now I am just sitting in the car waiting for my wife to finish shopping, Gavin is asleep. I thought I would throw up a quick post of just some random thoughts that were going through my head.First I love the iPhone and it just seems to be getting better all the time. I guess it was about a week ago or maybe a little longer that the Facebook app was released and it just blew me away. It was by far the coolest app that I had seen released to date. Plus a way forms to waste more of my time on Facebook. It is a really cool interface that is a lot faster than just going to the regular page and is extremely usable on the edge network. It gives me access to all the neat things that I love about Facebook; home page, friends list, profiles and such. The only things that don't appear on it are thing like groups and applications, but really those aren't the things that I really care to look at on the phone anyways. If you are fortunate enough to have an iPhone and are a fan of Facebook then this is a must have app.
I am continuing this post a day later. (Kristee came out of the store.) To continue on with the whole social networking thing. It has been awesome to get in touch with some really old friends. Just recently on myspace I have gotten in touch with some childhood friends. I am not a huge fan of myspace and really only use it to keep in touch with friends that I find online. They are the ones that are not on facebook, while I would prefer they were all on facebook I know that is not always going to be the case. (Hence the only reason I keep my myspace profile.) Anyways it is very awesome to get to communicate with them after all these years and get caught up on what is going on in their lives. One person was my very first best friend that I remember ever having when I was only 4. It has been about 23 or 24 years since I have talked to her.
I was away with the kids this past week when Bioshock was released. With all the hype that the game had been receiving and after playing the demo I without a doubt had to pick it up. I have gotten to play a little bit of it so far and it is absolutely amazing. The game play is something a little different, the music is awesome and really adds to the whole experience. It has been said to have an awesome story and from the levels I have played that seems to be very true. What I love about this game is the fact that it is one of those games that you can really get completely immersed in the game and really fell like you are a part of this world that you get to explore. It is also one of those games that can give you a good scare which is always fun to me. If you have a 360 or PC you definitely need to pick this game up with out a doubt.
